WWE(R) y Kmart Join Forces Once Again To Promote “Royal Riches”

World Wrestling Entertainment(R) and Kmart (http://www.kmart.com/ ) partnering up again to create “Royal Riches,” this is an exclusive, marketing promotion that will directly support WWE’s first pay-per-view event of 2010, Royal Rumble(R). The event will be taking place on Sunday, January 31st, at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., marking the beginning to the “Road to WrestleMania(R) XXVI.”
For twenty one days from Jan. 10 through Jan. 31, all Kmart stores will be featuring WWE licensed product from apparel to bedding and video games. Kmart will also be debuting mattel’s new line of WWE action figures and accessories.
So for those consumers who purchase $35 or more of the exclusive WWE merchandise at Kmart they will receive $10 off their Royal Rumble pay-per-view order as well as the opportunity to win other promotional offers throughout the duration of the program. Some other offers inlude, more discounts off WWE merchandise, and an opportunity to win a trip for two to WrestleMania XXVI in Glendale, Ariz. on March 28, 2010 at University of Phoenix Stadium.
“Kmart continues to look for ways to bring value to our customers by offering exclusive and exciting products through our entertainment partnership with WWE,” said Mark Snyder, chief marketing officer, Kmart. “Whether in-store or online, Kmart’s customers know they can find all of their favorite WWE products in one place.”
“After the overwhelming success of last year’s partnership between WWE and Kmart, we are thrilled to expand our efforts by partnering again with Kmart to offer WWE fans a great value for their shopping dollars and build excitement around our Royal Rumble pay-per-view,” said Jim Connelly, senior vice president, Consumer Products, WWE.
Kmart will be featuring select WWE merchandise online for purchase at www.kmart.com/wwe as well as providing a section in their weekly circular. Also, on Monday, Jan. 11 and Monday, Jan. 18, the site will feature live chats giving fans the opportunity to speak directly to their favorite WWE Superstars.
