In the first film simply titled Tinker Bell, we were able to get to know Tink, her friends and learned a bit about her world, Pixie Hollow and the true origins and the mysterious wonders of nature.
Now Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure for me was a purely captivating story. It takes place in autumn when the fairies are changing colors of leaves in the human world, the fairies tend to gardens of pumpkins and help geese fly south for the winter. Tinker Bell had been chosen by Queen Clarion and the Minister of Autumn to help create the reserves of fairy dust, but accidently endangers Pixie Hollow and goes on a secret mission to solve the problem.
The extra features in the film are worth watching, with the ‘Magical Guide To Pixie Hollow” which provides a great look into the making of the film. “Pixie Hollow Comes To Walt Disney World” shows how the filmmakers helped transform Epcot into Pixie Hollow and “Scenes You Never Saw” shows funny outtakes of the film.
With the moral being one of true friendship and loyalty, I found this film to be a great gender-neutral film that will truly fascinate children.
