Earlier this month, more than 500 children ages four to seventeen will took part in the Annual Kid’s Charity Fun Run in New York City’s Central Park to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of New York. The Kid’s Charity Fun Run is about kids helping kids to generate awareness for the Ronald McDonald House among school-age children who represent the future of charitable giving and philanthropy in our community.
The event benefited the Ronald McDonald House of New York which provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families in a strong, supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. in New York City is the largest facility of its type in the world. The House can approximately accommodate 84 families, and is filled to capacity almost every night. The House’s location in Manhattan, in close proximity to 14 major cancer treatment centers, draws children and families from across the country and the world, as well as from the metropolitan New York City area.
Since its founding, nearly than 25,000 families have stayed at the Ronald McDonald House of New York.
